Very Good Reason For Being So Quiet

Take Action , Atlanta No Comments »

Trust me I want to blog. I have a bunch of ideas in my head that I haven't been able to get online, or on paper. Ask my friends, they've all heard me in the past week at least once say "man I need to blog about XX".

But I haven't. I've neglected all 3 of you, my loyal readers. Who knows maybe I'm up to 4 people by now.

I have good reason though. This friday a group of people I'm so fortunate enough to be a part of is having a major event. They have been working for over a year with one goal in mind and this friday we all get to experience it. My Concrete Mattress will debut in Dublin GA this friday the 11th of July. I am in such awe of the guys and girls who have made this movie and who help to make The Unthinkable Project a success. God has really worked in all of our lives to make this a reality and we all know there have been many times when it would have just failed without Him.

So check out the promo trailer below. Maybe even reserve a seat for yourself. If nothing else pray for us and all the volunteers (close to 50) who will be helping us make this a reality come friday night.

So here's a fun one for you. I'm driving into work today and had an interesting encounter with another motorist. I'm half way to work, traveling through the Smyrna / Vinings area on my way to Perimeter. I pull up to a red light and this white convertible BMW pulls up next to me. Driving is a cute blonde who proceeds to roll her window down and motion for me to do the same.

This actually happens to me a lot, people see my GPS in the window and automatically assume I can help them get "unlost". Most of the time I can but there have been a few instances where I was just as lost as they were!

Anyways. So this girl, sweet as can be and in a perfectly light southern accent proceeds to ask me if i know of any good restaurants in the area. Having hung out and dined out around here I was able to recommend a couple of spots (Atkins Park in the Smyrna Market Village & Marlow's Tavern ).

This is where it gets interesting. After making my recommendations she proceeds to ask me what time and which location I would like to meet her at for lunch! I swear to you without even skipping a beat or even thinking about it my response was simply.

"I don't work in this area of town."

To which the light turned green, she smiled and simply replied "Well that's too bad" and drove off....
