I Wanna Be Everything Except For Your Mistake

I love Pandora. For someone like me it is a perfect musical tool. I put in a few artist I like and then start telling the service when I like or dis-like a song. Over time it's learns all about my musical tastes and I get play lists geared towards me.

I've discovered a lot of great music this way, while also reconnecting with some old favorites. Today a new (to me at least) Sister Hazel song came up right off the bat. The song was called "Your Mistake" and one chorus really struck me, it went like so...

It Is All About Timing

So after the great sex post of '08 I figured I'd go a little lighter on those of you who are regulars. I'm writing this at Starbucks again and I feel like this is going to become a common practice for me. I really need to look at getting myself one of those cool little netbooks so I don't have to struggle with my handwriting, and so I can get these published faster. (this was actually written in my journal on Sept 21st!)

Topic for today is timing and more importantly the difference between our timing and God's timing. Yes there is a difference and like many of you have discovered, His timing is never in line with our timing. God really is the king of the "hurry up and wait" mentality. I love that!

Hey You Listen Up!

"I see dead people" is probably one of the most famous lines from a movie next to "Show me the money". Ok so maybe it's not as famous but everyone knows what you are talking about when you say it.

We Christians have a similar saying "God spoke to me". Non Christians immediately look at you like you stepped in something and depending on how you say it, or what the sign is, even your Christian counterparts might furl their brows a bit. But it's true. He does talk to us but we don't always hear Him.
