Catching up on the ole Blog.....

Storms are rolling in tonight and I love it! There is nothing like a good rain storm with thunder and lightening. It's has to be one of my top five most favorite moments. All that energy and destructive power while also so much life giving rain all at once. Awesome.

So I've been busy, as you can tell from my lack of posting. I'm really doing badly with the whole post a day thing huh!?! I'll get better I promise. I wanted to write about crazy squirrels tonight but I think I'll hold off a few more days before I tell THAT story!

Wednesday I went to my first Braves game of the season. My small group meet a girls small group and we all got those $6 seats and sat up where the birds won't fly. Amazingly they are really good seats and you can really see a lot of the action. Not only that but if you want to feel closer to the action all you need to do is walk down a few hundred stairs to the Chop House and there you are with a few hundred of your closest friends. Seriously though they were great seats and of course it was good times to hang with the guys and meet some new people.

Thursday was my CARE Ministry training. I'm currently in the process of training to be a Divorce Care Facilitator aka an Oasis Facilitator. Oasis is a divorce ministry with Buckhead, Northpoint & Browns Bridge Church. I've been through the program and it really is a great 13 weeks. No matter where you are in the stage of your divorce (just starting, in the middle, recently finalized or even 2 years after) there is something you can learn from it. Also there is definitely something you can learn about yourself from it. So I've got 4 more weeks of this training and then hopefully I'll be ready to start an apprenticeship with a class. If you know anyone who's gone through or going through a divorce I HIGHLY recommend they try this out.

Friday was a chill day. I was really jonese'n for a patio after work. The night was just gorgeous with a clear sky and awesome stars poping out. Unfortunately I couldn't round the troops up so I ended up just heading home. Once home I grabbed a chair, a Stella and sat out on my deck and watched the sun go down, listened to the birds fight / play and felt the cool breeze blow through my toes. Yea I said it, the breeze blew through my toes people, and I enjoyed it!

It's the simple things in life which are the most precious, and the things which we take for granted most often. Take tonight for example, it's saturday night and a few of us planned to go to the grand opening of a new coffee shop and then off to see a buddy of ours run sound for a few local bands. We got to the coffee shop and it's in this gated community. First thought was, "ok this is weird not sure how this is going to play out". BUT once we got down to where it was and saw the view . . . WOW! It's located right on the Chattahoochee River and was amazingly beautiful. I took a ton of photo's which I'll up load soon. There were ducks, geese, cranes, and even a muskrat. Which I'll admit I called a beaver at first but only after I figured out it wasn't a baby alligator, yea I'm one with nature can't you tell!

So after the coffee we went to dinner and then were going to go grab another coffee at StarBucks, yes that's 2 coffee in less then 3 hours can we say addicts!?! Well we got to StarBucks and grabbed a seat outside and the 5 of us just started talking. It was an awesome night. It was one of those nights where you talk and share and laugh so much your cheeks hurt by the time you go home. It was a night where it went from being 9:30pm to 1:30am and if felt like no time had passed at all. Man I love the way God puts people in our lives.
