It's 11:48pm and I'm supposed to be asleep. I've got other blogs I'm
working on in my head, on video, on paper and none of them are as
important as this one right now.
So
many people like to point out the bad when trying to disprove the
existence of God. They point to babies who die before they had a chance
to live, to vicious crimes, natural disasters and anything else we
humans see as "sensational".
But no one ever points to these same instance to prove the existence of God.
No
one points at the pastor who is putting his neck out every day to do
something different but feels like he's getting nowhere. No one says
"He has so much faith and trust in God's plan, it doesn't matter if he
fails, because he will succeed in trying".
No one points at the
family of a child who's whole life has been one hospital visit after
another and says "there is no way they could do what they do without
the love of God".
No one points at the guy who's doing whatever
he can to make ends meet and just pay the bills all the while saying
"God is good and faithful". No one says "He's doing God's will".
No
one points to the guy who's so broken because he can see his marriage
slipping away but he still has hope and still tries. No ones says "He
has God's grace to continue on".
No one points to the single
mother of twins, who spends most of her days loving those kids as if
she were two parents. No one says "She's got so much of Gods love, it's
pouring from her to those kids".
Why don't we point and say those things?
Because it's so hard to believe we have a God who loves us that much.
We do and the sooner we accept that, the sooner we'll not only say those things but we'll believe them as well.
